I am super excited and honored to be a member of 16 Hands Studio Tour! The potter’s of Terra Floyd were invited for the Thanksgiving tour in 2018 and now we have participated in two studio tours. I am grateful for the support and encouragement the members have for the younger generation of craftspeople in Floyd. It has been wonderful to be part of this event that has been a tradition in Floyd for 19 years!
16 Hands is a group of talented potters and woodworkers who came together almost two decades ago to support each other and host open studio tours together in a rural setting.
16 Hands Studio Tour is an experience as well as a studio sale. People come to see where we create our work and live. There are guest artists from near and far. Some patrons come sit on the porch, relax, and take in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
We hold two open studio tours a year; one on the first weekend in May and the other on Thanksgiving weekend. Come join us for a weekend of fine crafts and explore the eclectic small town of Floyd, VA.
